Foundation Priority Programmes – 2021 Recruitment
For 2021 recruitment East Midlands are offering Foundation Priority Programmes within the LNR and Trent Foundation School.
LNR Foundation School
LNR foundation school are pleased to have developed two themes for our FPP posts. The first of which are Leadership priority posts and these will be funded either whole or partially to undertake a Postgraduate Certificate course sponsored by the Foundation School (typical reimbursement costs may be in the region of £2,250). The Leadership element is undertaken in the F2 year and are either based at Northampton General Hospital or University Hospital Leicester Trust.
Our second theme is in Medical Education/leadership. These rotations will have a 4 month F2 post in Medical Education and are based at either Burton Hospital or Lakeside Surgery in Corby. The Burton posts will be in the Simulation department where you will have opportunity to be involved in training of a wide range of the medical team and the Lakeside posts are in a large General Practice where you can be involved in medical education or in undertaking leadership/QI projects.
Trent Foundation School
In recognition of the geography of Lincolnshire and the costs incurred by our doctors the United Lincolnshire Hospital Trust is committed to paying a salary incentive of £7,500 during the F2 year at Pilgrim Hospital. In addition, HEE will fund attendance at the Mary Seacole Leadership course and develop roles for F2 doctors teaching medical students from the new Lincoln Medical School. All these programmes consist of F1 in Nottinghamshire and F2 in Pilgrim hospital. The F1 posts in these rotations are not subject to the salary enhancement.
