National Paediatric Dentistry Training Recruitment 2018

Recruitment to Paediatric Dentistry training posts in the UK is through a national selection process led by Health Education England’s East Midlands local office (Paediatric Dentistry posts in England, Scotland, Wales and Northern Ireland will be included). The revised recruitment and selection processes will ensure standardisation in selection and values based recruitment in line with other national training programmes.

Applicants can apply to two vacancy types ST1 and ST4. The level of post will depend on previous training an applicant has undertaken. .

Applications and offers will be made through the national recruitment system Oriel. This system enables the national coordination of the application and offer processes and will allow applicants to accept only one post. Please see the national recruitment timeline below applications will need to be made via www.oriel.nhs.uk

Longlisted applicants will be invited to attend the national selection centre held on Wednesday 7th November 2018 (ST4 applications only). Applicants will be asked to preference all the posts in which they are interested. By preferencing more posts applicants will have a better chance of securing a post. If applicants choose only a limited number of preferences it could be that they are unsuccessful in securing any post if they do not score highly at the selection centre for the posts they have preferenced. Offers will be made in rank order by performance at the selection centre. Once offers have been made the system will also allow upgrades so that you can accept a higher preference post if that becomes available.

Further information will be contained in the applicant guide and persons specifications for each vacancy. This information will be available when the posts are advertised on the COPDEND website www.copdend.org
