The Professional Support Unit (PSU) East Midlands has changed its name. It is now the Professional Support and Wellbeing service (PSW).

For those who don’t know, the Professional Support and Wellbeing service supports both trainee doctors and dentists with targeted solution-focused support. We all face personal and professional difficulties that have an impact on how we feel and perform in the workplace, and it’s no different for trainees.

Throughout their years of training doctors and dentists from all walks of life can come up against numerous challenges. Whether that be struggling with exam failure, a bereavement, mental or physical health problems or even cultural and language related challenges, the PSW provide one to one specialist support through our external providers to help trainees through these difficult periods.
