King's Mill dental simulator featured on BBC News

The recent opening of the new dental simulator suite at King's Mill Hospital has been featured on BBC News. The postgraduate dental training suite at the hospital, run by Sherwood Forest Hospitals (SFH) Foundation Trust, is the first in the country to use the technology that uses computer simulations to improve skills and techniques before trainees move on to the real thing. Watch the story here.

Welcome to the Health Education England East Midlands School of Dentistry (EMSD). The EMSD covers a very large geographic area, incorporating Lincolnshire, Leicestershire, Northamptonshire, Nottinghamshire and Derbyshire. This geographic diversity attracts dental professionals from all over the UK, Europe and worldwide to train, educate and practice with in the various branches of dentistry. 

Dentistry is currently undergoing significant and exciting changes. These changes will impact on the way we provide dental care for the East Midlands, with increasing emphasis on quality and safety. It is therefore our mission statement to commission and deliver high quality educational programmes to support all members of the dental team.
