Combine chic city style with picturesque countryside - Leicestershire is packed with fantastic contradictions just waiting for you to explore.

Ideally located within the 'golden triangle' of the M1, M69 and M6 motorways Leicester is easily accessible.

With pretty villages steeped in history, rolling landscapes and beautiful market towns, Leicestershire is a county packed with historical facts and fiction.

Find yourself in an exciting, diverse and multi-cultural city with awe-inspiring architecture, vibrant festivals and world-class performing arts Leicester, the official curry capital of Britain is a city full of discovery for all the family.

Leicestershire boasts a thriving city and the surrounding countryside is considered a bonus to being part of the Leicester based programmes.

The variety of opportunity and environment for training ensures Leicester continues to attract doctors with diverse interests and experience. We have a history of innovation in our training, having developed and evaluated a curriculum rather than a rigid timetable.

We use simulation and quality improvement activities in training as a matter of course. In addition, there is high quality educational and pastoral support  targeted towards individual registrars' learning needs.

Throughout Leicestershire programmes we incorporate a diverse range of practices - from single handed doctors to large multiple trainer practices.

The practices range from older established practices (and trainers) to the newer practices, offering a variety of experiences in inner city, suburbs, market towns and rural practices.

Leicester is very ethically and culturally diverse and registrars on the programme will experience working in at least two different practices to hep experience a wide range of educational and working opportunities.
