Special interest sessions
When you train in Child and Adolescent Psychiatry in the East Midlands you'll benefit from a flexible approach which allows you to get one day each week set aside for literature review/ special interest (for full time trainees or pro-rata for part-time). This means that you will get dedicated time to pursue those aspects of child mental health practice that interest you.
The trainee can choose to spend time in a variety of settings such as the CAMHS Developmental Neuropsychiatry and Tourette`s Clinic, Paediatric Liaison, Early Intervention Team, Youth Offending Team, Secure Children’s Home, Substance Misuse Team and Gender Identity Clinic, and so on.
